It has been a crazy couple of months to say the least. I have been so overwhelmed with the support and love I have received through my artworks.
To give you a snapshot of the last couple of months, this is what I’ve been up to.
1. Valour Sport
HOODIES!!! My artwork is now available on hoodies. I have been working recently with Valour sports, consulting with them about their Reconciliation Action Plan as well as developing a design just in time for NAIDOC week.
(Sorry was hoping to get my mum to model, but she was asleep lol)
But on another note, I’m really excited to see this partnership grow, and for my art to also develop with these new opportunities.

2. Centre of Independent Studies (CIS)
About a month ago I had secured a gig with CIS for an artwork and logo design. This was my first corporate gig, because I lack a business and law degree I was sooo scared. I did a lot of research around the legal side of things making sure I was protected as well as making sure I was doing the right thing.
In the end it worked out all okay, I was absolutely stoked with the way the artwork turned out as well as the logo. It was another major first in my life, I’m just so glad I took the leap of faith and trusted in my ability to take on such an amazing opportunity.

3. Maybell Group
I was given the opportunity for my artworks to be displayed at the Maybell Group stall at the Con next 22 conference. My artworks were then used as a prize for the lucky customer who engaged within the stall.
This gig alone opened the door for a lot of new opportunities for my small business, I was exposed to new clients, new partnerships as well as connecting me with big fishes in the corporate world.

4. International Society for Soil Mechanics and Geotechnical (ISSMGE)
This experience was so surreal, never in a million years did I think I would be painting in front of a live audience for hundreds of people. This piece was called “her story” - by Aunty Vicky and myself.
This was my first collaboration with another artist, it was my first live painting as well as my first conference.
Aunty Vicky holds a wealth of knowledge, I was humbled that she asked to collaborate with me, It was so satisfying watching our two art styles graciously merge together.
5. Art Exhibition (stay tuned)
6. Police NAIDOC art workshop (stay tuned)
7. PCYC NAIDOC art workshop (stay tuned)
I have been booked and busy!! I am so humbled by all these experiences. When I first set out to start my small business journey I was absolutely shaking in my boots. I didn’t know where to start or how the legal side of things because like I mentioned earlier I lack a business and law degree. All I knew is that I wanted to share my art, I wanted to share my story. So began sharing my art on Instagram and Facebook.
With the support and encouragement of my Dads best friend, Daniel (who I also call dad) and my mum, I took a leap of faith and decided to share my art to the wider community by building my own website.
I’m only 5 months into this journey have been exposed to so many new experiences. Without sounding philosophical/full of shit, a piece advice I would like to share is exactly this.. In my own experience, time is a precious concept. The time we share with loved ones, the time to explore, learn, grow is invaluable. If you have a dream, go and chase it, research, ask questions and get yourself out there because time waits for nobody. Take the leap of faith because like me, you’d be so glad that you did.
